Prior to beginning employment, you will also need to sign an apprenticeship agreement with your employment. It may look something like this:
Apprentice name.
Relevant apprenticeship standard and level: Level 4 Software Developer.
Place of work (employer). <Employer name, Location>
Start date of apprenticeship. <Date> This will usually be the same date as the start of the employment contract.
End date of apprenticeship. <Date+24 months>
No more than 24 months, and no less than 15 months, after the start date, dependent on when the apprentice is ready to go for end-point assessment.
Start date of practical period. <Date> The same date as the start of the apprenticeship.
Estimated end date of practical period. <Date+21 months> This is the final date at which the apprentice is due to be assessed as being ready for end-point assessment.
Duration of practical period: 21 months.
Planned amount of off-the-job training (hours). 560 hours.
