The apprentice journey looks different depending on who the apprentice is and how they come to us. There are broadly three routes:

1. The apprentice is already a member of staff

In which case, some of the topics in this section, such as The Software Foundation programme and Apprentice salaries are less relevant.

2. The employer advertises for candidates directly

In which case, we may collaborate on the application process and integrate the The Software Foundation programme into the apprenticeship itself.

3. The employer hires directly from our candidate pool

This is a very common approach for our software developer apprenticeship, which ensures that the candidates are at the right level to start an apprenticeship.
