Delays in confirming an apprentice, particularly delays to confirming a levy transfer, can lead to it becoming impossible to enter the correct start date for an apprenticeship.

In order to overcome this problem, follow these steps, as recommended by the apprenticeships helpdesk ([email protected]):

  1. Sign in to your apprenticeship service account
  2. Select ‘Apprentices’, then ‘Manage your apprentices’.
  3. Find the apprentice you need and select ‘view’. Select ‘edit status’, then ‘stop’.
  4. Enter the stop date as the start date the apprentice joined in your apprenticeship, then select ‘confirm’.
  5. Re-add the apprentice to the system with the correct start date.
