Lots of people don’t enjoy the idea of networking.
But guess what? It can be fun. Also, the tech community is really friendly.
And… networking can help you get a job. It’s not guaranteed to. But it will help.
You know that saying ‘It’s not what you know, it’s who you know’? - It’s not always true, but it is sometimes. It will really help your career prospects to get to know as many people as possible!
FAC learners have a strong history of attending events in London.
Before the pandemic, we would have a presence at various different meetups.
Post-pandemic we’ve lost that culture a bit and we want to re-energise it.
What does this mean? Come to events when you can. We understand many of you are working and studying and don’t have much free time. But even attending one a month will be useful.
The more you attend the easier they will get.
We even provide a curated list of events in and around London. You can filter these for ‘Recommended’ - these are the ones where FAC will likely have a staff and/or learner presence.
