Employers rarely send their employees on training courses solely because employees are interested in learning new things. You need to take some time to understand your employer's problems and work out how this course is going to help your employer solve one or more of those problems.

This may be abundantly obvious but we'll state it here for clarity: This is a two-step process. Firstly, find out how your employer is or wants to be using AI. Secondly, talk to your employer and say something along the lines of "This course won't cost us anything and it will help us deliver x". Do not say*, "I want to do this course because it looks interesting"*. It would be best if you worked out how the course is going to deliver value for your employer and communicate that value in clear terms.

It is likely that your employer is highly incentivised to partner with us on your training. However, you may need to explain this to them. It’s worth spending a little time working out a good approach before you talk to your manager.

If it is helpful to you, please bring us into the conversation. Feel free to email [email protected], and we can organise things from there.
