Registering with the apprenticeship service: guidance for employers
Before or after making an apprenticeship offer, employers will need to register with the apprenticeship service, add us as a training provider, and reserve funding for the training.
Employers are strongly encouraged to pay apprentices a salary that meets or exceeds the London Living Wage.
The apprenticeship officially lasts for 24 months, but apprentices can actually complete in as little as 15 months, if desired, regardless of the official length.
The Education and Skills Funding Agency provides a template for the apprenticeship agreement, which both the apprentice and employer should sign.
Before the apprenticeship begins, the Department for Education asks us all to agree and sign a training plan.
